One week to go

Well I have just about one week until I leave. I have some packing left to do, but it's just clothes and the little stuff. I have been talking with a few of the other girls that are going on the tour the past few days.

I'm sure when the time comes to update my blog while I'm gone I will be rambling off a bunch of names. So here is a couple of the people who I know and where they are from. First there is Twila from Saskatchewan, Canada who lives bascially in the middle of no where. Twila is also doing the Greece cruise after the Italy tour. Then we have KittyKat, but her name is Kathleen who lives in New South Wales, Australia. She is doing the tour with her boyfriend David. There are a bunch of Aussies that will be on the tour as well. Amy is from Kansas, and Stace lives in Toronto, BC. Thats basically all the people who I have been keeping in contact with on the message boards.

I arrive in Rome at about 1:35pm on Sunday May 6th. A bunch of us are all planning on meeting at the Spanish Steps in Rome that evening....hopefully I will be able to find them ok and not be too tired. After we all meet there we are going to have some dinner and walk around for a bit. Our hotel is like 35 minutes from central Rome so hopefully we will be able to share a taxi or something.

After the Italy tour is over on May 18th, I will be flying to Athens and spending a few days there then hopping on a cruise around the islands stopping at Mykonos Island, Kusadasi Turkey, Rhodes, and Santorini. I absolutely can't wait to go to Santorini to take a gazzilion pictures. I'm not sure which ship we will be on since the other one hit some volcanic rock and sank right off Santorini Island. After the cruise is over on May 25, I have one more day in Athens then I will be on my way back home.

I'll be travelling a total of 13,785 miles on planes, who know how many on the tour bus. Good thing for United Miles...Woo-hooo..

First blog

Welcome to my first blog. I created this blog to keep in touch with family and friends while I go to Italy and Greece next month. I'm hoping I will be able to find some time to update where I am and what I'm doing while on my trip. Feel free to leave me a comment, I promise to read them. I will be so excited to hear from "home" when I'm in Europe. I will have no cell phone(hopefully I won't be lost) but I will be taking a phone card.

In the next couple of weeks I will post info on where I will be on which days, so in case you care you can track where I go.

more to come.......
